Eden's Promise: Litany

Shadowkeeper

While the video is largely similar to what we do, in the case of differences this page is leading.

Positions

T1: Tymo H1: Gust M1: Tannie R1: Yuki

T2: Ahmed H2: Tali M2: Marielle R2: Shiroe

West group: T1, M1, R1, H1

East group: T2, M2, R2, H2

Phase 1

100% -> 50%
  1. Deepshadow Nova is a raidwide AoE.

  2. Implosion full-frontal or -backward AoE. It is relative to the shadow, not the boss.

    • The shadow is the butt.

    • Head up = Frontal.

    • Tail up = Backward.

  3. When the boss starts standing upright, it indicates Throne of Shadow is being cast, which is a very large, un-telegraphed, point-blank AoE. Run out.

  4. The boss then casts Giga Slash, which is handled similarly to Implosion.

  5. Umbra Smash should be invulned by the MT (4 hits). The tanks swap after the 4th hit. Then the boss casts either of the following abilities:

    • Shadow's Edge is a tank buster that cleaves and must be mitigated.

    • Darkness Unleashed is a stack on the Tank which should be shared by the entire group in the centre of the boss, except for the tank who took Umbra Smash.

  6. Shadowcleave is an 8-way cleave and should be handled by standing in assigned protean positions. Clones will drop where people were when the cast finished. Drop them at max melee. From now on, don't come close to your own clone! Everyone will stand in the center of the boss to start the next mechanic.

  7. Dualspell is a triple stack marker which will be taken in the centre of the boss. At the same time, some clones will have numbers above their head (1 through 3).

    • If you're tethered to a clone that says 1, you can't be in the first stack. If it says 2 you can't be in the second and 3 you can't be in the third. If your clone has no number, you should be in all three stacks.

    • The clones whose numbers correspond to the current Stack number will explode at the same time as that stack. If you're not in the stack because of your number, don't stand too close to a clone with that number. Generally, go out of the stack, opposite side of your own clone, adjust slightly if there is a clone with the same number as yours there. See this VoD.

  8. After the 3 stacks, all players should stand in the middle until their clones teleport behind them. Then, everyone should go out of the boss, max melee.

  9. Another Umbra Smash into Shadow's Edge / Darkness Unleashed. Invuln and swap.

Shadow Servant.

Shadow Servant

  1. This mechanic is summarised by provided slide.

  2. The mechanic repeats right after with the 4 players that weren't marked during the first time.

  3. Distant Scream will knock everyone back. You can use a KB prevention as soon as the boss's sword disappears. You can KB prevent every knockback in this fight. The CD is back every time.

Umbral Orbs

There are 2 types of orbs: Purple singular orbs and Orange Clumps of Orbs. The Purple will do a tankbuster AoE on the nearest player and the Orange will do a stack AoE on the nearest player. Anytime orbs spawn, there will be 2 of each type. They will be split between the East and West groups every time, with the tanks taking their Purple Orb alone.

  1. Orbs appear at the cardinal positions. Everyone uses the priorities below to decide which to take. Stay in melee range of the boss, you don't need to go to the orbs.

    • West group will check West, then North, then South, until they find the Orb type they are supposed to take.

    • East group will check East, then South, then North.

  2. Shadow Spawn spawns 4 untargetable adds, 1 of which will be tethered to the boss. Track this add around the arena as they jump.

  3. While the adds are jumping, new Orbs will spawn. West group takes the West-most in their colour, while the East group takes the East-most. In the case of a tie, use the priority order.

  4. Once the adds stop jumping, go to the edge of the arena of the add that was tethered originally. At the same time, be in line with the orb you're supposed to take.

  5. Fade in Shadow will cause 4 huge AoEs to go off in the corners. The 2 with straight tethers will go off first, while those with curved tethers will go off slightly later. Wait on the curved tethers, close to the middle.

  6. The boss will cause one half of the arena to be unsafe by using Implosion, so you have to go to the curved tether that is still safe now. After Implosion and the first set on tethers have gone off, rotate around the boss to either of the 2 new safe spots.

  7. Finally, the boss casts 4 Implosions in a row.

Phase 2

  1. This phase starts with Throne of Shadow. Go out.

  2. Another Umbra Smash into Shadow's Edge / Darkness Unleashed. Invuln and swap.

Voidgate

  1. Pre-position in buddy stack positions. MT+R2 North, OT+R1 West, H2+M2 East, and H1+M1 South.

  2. Those that get a Shadow Servant, go to the Voidgate that allows you to resolve Shadow Servant at the same time.

  3. Everyone go in after the first set of towers.

  4. Go clockwise to soak the next set of towers.

  5. The next Shadow Servant group shouldn't go into position until after the towers are resolved.

Voidgate 1. We'll use our own buddy positions, same as E9S.
Pitch Bog positions.
  1. Pitch Bog targets all players and drops puddles at their positions. Drop them out of the middle of the arena. Use the illustrated positions. Don't touch your puddle after it's dropped.

  2. Distant Scream and Orbs happen at the same time now. Handle Orbs like the first time and everyone should use KB prevention.

  3. Implosion x2.

  4. Deepshadow Nova.

Shackled Apart

  1. Tanks and Healers North of the Boss. DPS at the butt. Every DPS is tethered to a Tank or Healer and must stay far from their tether partner.

  2. Fade in Shadow functions largely the same as before. DPS will stand on SW or SE, depending on where the curvy shadow tether is. Tanks and Healers NW or NE.

  3. After the first pair of explosions, the tethers disappear and Orbs have appeared. Dodge to the safe spot that is closest to the Orb you need to take.

  4. After the second pair of explosions, quickly go to the side of the Boss to take your Orb. There is very little time to move.

  5. Deepshadow Nova.

Phase 3: Voidgate 2 / Pitch Bog

  1. Drop Pitch Bog in the same spots as before.

  2. Shadow Slash x4.

  3. Touch the puddle that you dropped earlier and stand just outside the closest inter-cardinal tower, facing the boss. You want your clone to teleport into the Tower. Clones still cleave you if you come too close, so don't do that.

  4. After the clones teleport, go to your assigned Tower near the boss, same as during Phase 2.

  5. Bait the Shadowy Eruption where you are, such that the new set of towers are clear.

  6. DPS go clockwise into the new towers. Tanks and Healers can dodge the AoEs anywhere.

  7. DPS get tethered to a Tank or Healer again. Tanks and Healers should join their tethered DPS in that DPS's Tower.

  1. Another Umbra Smash into Shadow's Edge / Darkness Unleashed. Invuln and swap.

  2. Umbral Orbs + Distant Scream. As before, use KB prevention.

  3. Deepshadow Nova x3.

  4. Deepshadow Nova (Enrage).

Role Specific Tips

Tank

  • Use party mitigation on Deepshadow Nova and Umbral Orbs.

  • Umbra Smash is an extremely hard hitting tank buster. The first four hits should be invulned if possible – any invuln lasts for all four. If not, make sure your healers can spot heal you between hits.

  • The current OT should swap after the fourth hit and look at the next mechanic. Shadow’s Edge means they have to pop cooldowns, while Darkness Unleashed means they have to stack with the group and use party mitigation.

  • The purple Umbral Orb deals decent magic damage, so use a cooldown. One tank will be taking autos while taking it, so they should use extra if necessary.

Healer

  • There is plenty of raid damage between Deepshadow Nova, Dualspell, and Pitch Bog amongst other instances of raid damage. Plan your AoE healing rotations out with your healing partner.

  • If a tank is not using invulns on Umbra Smash, you will have to ensure they have HP for every hit.

  • You can pre-position for many mechanics in order to get casts off. These include Throne of Shadow and Pitch Bog.

DPS

  • Most mechanics will inflict damage down if you are hit by them – don’t get damage down.

  • Use Feint on Umbra Smash and Addle on instances of AoE damage.

  • Don’t greed mechanics where you have to go out to the edge such as Shadow Cleave or Shadow Warrior.
