Sigmascape V4.5
God Kefka
MrHappy's video guide for Kefka is featured in the top-right of this page. It should provide a quick walkthrough of the fight. Bigger mechanics are explained further in the following sections and a short summary of mechanics is provided as a reference as well.
The intent of this page is not to provide a guide on the fight (there are plenty of those around), but to provide a quick refresher of mechanics, to communicate everyones positions and highlight strategies we might do different from video guides.
Positions
H1 Tymo
H2 Marielle
D1 Seuny
D2 Shiroe
R3 Gust
R4 Superazraq

Mechanic summary
Celestriad all elemental spells from Clown Kefka. Follow diagram.
Wings of Destruction watch for glowing wings.
One wing: go to the non-glowing side of boss.
Two wings: MT at the front of the boss on the hitbox, OT runs away from the sides, and the rest stacks on the butt at max-melee range.
Trine two variants:
Small: Go from 2nd/3rd set to where 1st set exploded.
Big+Small (see also, diagrams on the right):
Big and small in center = outside big triangle without small.
No small in big = center is safe.
Futures Numbered everyone stack to share, then run behind boss after first hit.
Pasts Fogotten everyone stack to share, then stay still after the hit.
Forsaken
Every Forsaken cast indicates a series of mechanics is about to happen, requiring specific strategies. There's 4 Forsakens in the fight, 3 different ones (though some share a few mechanics). Each has its own section below.
1st Forsaken
Tali should normally be MT here.
Boss will be tanked in the center, facing north.
Stay close to healers so they can save your butt.
Once DPS get assigned tethers: Assume postions as shown in the animation.
DPS should try to make sure their skulls don't go too near to the center.
DPS take their skull once they have sufficient HP again. The skulls explode for ~12-15K with shields, ~20K without.
Handle Wings of Destruction:
MT on the edge of the hitbox north.
OT away to either east or west.
Rest at max-melee-range south.
Repeat 2-5
Stack for Light of Judgement.
2nd Forsaken
The animations should have all the information for this mechanic. Tanks and healers need to pay attention to the variant that is used, to not cleave the party with the clones.
Clone positions from west to east: H1, H2, Ahmed, Tali
Ranged DPS go around the edges from west/east to north. R3 starts west. R4 starts east.
Confusion Macro (Removes Sprint)
/macroicon "Shocked" emote
/macroerror off
/statusoff "Sprint"
3rd Forsaken
This Forsaken starts including the statue into the mechanics, similar to Clown Kefka's Graven Images, but more involved.
If all went well, Ahmed should be MT here, meaning he is close for tank bombs and Tali is far.
Knockback tethers get assigned and 3 soak-puddles appear. Tethered players should position themselves so they get knocked into their assigned puddle, or use knockback prevention.
Tanks East
Healers West
DPS South
Ultimate Embrace. Tanks must share this buster.
Sleep/Confuse mechanic with 2 puddles. Stand ready outside your letter (towards the edge) to move according to your tether.
Confuse-tethers take assigned positions at the edge of the arena (without using sprint or using the macro/clicking it off if need be).
Sleep-tethers must soak the puddles, while standing close to the center, according to assigned positions (each puddle needs 2 people). Move to the center after puddles.
Assigned positions:
A H2 / D1
B Ahmed / D2
C H1 / R3
D Tali / R4
Now the first half of 1st Forsaken (step 1-6) happens again, as the animation above shows, with an additional mechanic during tank bombs:
During the Tank bombs, Healers and Ranged share the one puddle at South. Melee be careful not to stand too close to the boss, but can otherwise do positionals as they please.
During the Ultima cast, the MT should face the boss towards 2.
MT stands between B and D.
The statue will blast one half of the arena (West or East) and Kefka will do a Single Wing of Destruction, blasting the North or South half.
Everyone must go to the safe quarter of the arena.
4th Forsaken
Repeat 3rd Forsaken.
Normally, Tali would be MT here, so tank bombs should be the same as during 1st Forsaken.
