Maleficium is a raidwide.
Junction Shiva or Titan.
Shiva means it will be spread next.
Titan means it will be stack next.
Rapturous Reach cleave one half of the arena and a little more. Indicated by one arm of the boss glowing.
Resolve the junction. Stacks North (MT+1s) and South (OT+2s). Spread Protean with H/R adjusting as needed.
Cast does 2 primal AoEs at the same time. Dodge W/E or N/S based on your group.
The earlier junction repeats. Proteans the same, W/E or N/S stacks based on what's convenient.
Formless Judgment is a tankbuster on the 2 players with highest aggro. MT invuln, swap during the cast.
Malificium.
Junction Shiva
Animated slideshow.Diamond Dust is a heavy raid-wide AoE.
Slide to the safe spots and stack as Light Parties.
Slide out to spread. DPS CCW, T/H CW.
Go to any of the 2 safe spots once they appear.
Go to the middle once its safe for heals.
Use the knock back to get away from your tethered crystal.
Don't get hit by other crystal line AoEs.
Phase 2: Guardian of Eden
Chiseled Sculptures
Resolve Junction. Everyone should go to the same spot to resolve a stack at the same time. Use West and/or South.
Pull boss South.
Stack in light parties at the North and South of the boss as pictured.
Get numbers and tethers. Resolve numbers by pointing tethers away from party, in order, as shown.
Resolve the knockback as indicated by Giant Eden after the last tethers go off.
Lion Rampant
Melees, if tethered, go to tank spots and vice-versa.
Ranged, if tethered, go to healer spots and vice-versa.
Phase 3
This is basically just the opening of the fight with different timings.
Role Specific Tips
By Lyra Rose, The Balance.Tank
Reprisal usage and party mitigation needs to be carefully planned out. One tank is able to do it on every Maleficium, while the other should get other sources of damage such as Diamond Dust, Earthen Fury, or Formless Judgment.
Party mitigation should be planned out too. 90s shields can cover the first Junction, Earthen Fury, Maleficium, Lions phase, and a final Maleficium or Junction.
If a PLD is present, they should Hallowed Ground the second Formless Judgment, and the other tank should invuln the first and third.
The MT during the Classical Sculpture phase MUST keep the boss facing north (or south) in order to point Rapturous Reach. This may make it difficult to see their tether and their number, so pay extra attention.
Healer
There is plenty of AoE damage going throughout the fight. Coordinate healing.
Have your tanks invuln as many tank busters as possible so that you are only healing one tank during Formless Judgment.
2m cooldowns such as Temperance will be up for the Junction Shiva phase if used on pull.
The Junction Titan phase has the heaviest healing of the encounter – players must be mitigated and healed to full before and after Earthen Fury, and then healed in between every Bomb Boulder wave.
You should top the party in between each wave of Lion breaths.
DPS
As this enrage is extremely tight in progression, coordinate DPS cooldowns.
2m can be used during Junction Shiva. 3m should be used during Junction Titan, as that phase has full uptime. 4m should be during Cast + Obliteration.
As 6m happens during Lions, players should consult timelines based on their job’s rotation to see if they should use their 2m on cooldown (the enrage is ~8:27) or save it for a burst after Lions phase.
Use Feint on Formless Judgment, and Addle on instances of heavy raidwide damage such as Diamond Dust, Earthen Fury, or Maleficium.
